Anxiety is a horrible feeling when your stomach feels in knots, and there is a looming sense of doom. When we experience anxiety it means we are in a low vibrational state of fear, and out of alignment with our higher selves, and path. We have lost trust and faith.

After both my parents passed away within a few years of one another, my anxiety peaked. The decades of emotional abuse and realizations of what had happened to me became a sharp reality I had to face.

I declined pharmaceuticals and sought to embark on doing the inner work needed to heal myself within. This is where I have arrived today, with a mission to empower people to reach their highest growth potential. I knew that if I could turn myself around from broken, I could support others on their journey too.

Here are 4 tips to help with anxiety you might not have thought about.

  1. No Regrets: Never regret decisions once made. Accept when you made the decision it was based on the information you held at the time. Taking full responsibility helps us to move beyond anxious regret and learn a valuable life lesson. Anxious regret is not conducive to growth. If you can't make a decision, wait and buy more time until you are ready. Salespeople often engage tactics to pin you down into making quick decisions on the same day, they know that when you leave, the chances of buying narrow down significantly.
  2. Go Slow: When we are in an anxious state of mind we are more likely to make mistakes and fear-based choices. Slow down to a standstill, and take some time to calm and settle your breathing and inner self. A calm sea within can see a clearer ocean of opportunity ahead.
  3. Remove Focus: Move away from self by doing an activity that will serve humanity in some way. Even if it is helping animals, planting seeds or giving way in traffic, do something in service to others without expectation of anything in return. You’ll be amazed at how good this feels, and how quickly it shifts focus away from self.
  4. Self-Talk: We are the words we tell ourselves. Stand up, pull your shoulders back, and speak words of loving nourishment to yourself. Make your inner conversation a good one, just as you would talk to someone you love and care for.
